| Abstract | Recently, the demand for video streaming has increased with the spread of broadband access. This has resulted in the concentration of delivery server load in client-server type streaming systems. In this situation, P2P streaming systems have attracted a grate deal of attention. However, in P2P type streaming systems, the wait time for caching of data increases because of the poor resources of peers that deliver contents. In this paper, we propose a new video streaming protocol on P2P systems to decrease the caching time. In the proposed method, a peer predicts the video that a user will want to play next and buffers the video beforehand. We demonstrate by simulation that the wait time of the next video is reduced. |
